Can you come and Quote at my House?

Yes, we can come and quote and in most cases we can do the job onsite at that time if you choose to proceed. All we need is access to a power outlet for our polishers and compressor and shelter if it is raining. We can come to your place of work too if your boss doesn’t mind. Please contact us for basic pricing guidelines.

Do you work on weekends?

Not often, because our operators all work very hard during the week we think it is best for them to take time out to recharge and spend time with their families on weekends so we prefer to make our bookings on weekdays. However we can make weekend appointments by special arrangement.

Will the stone chip disappear?

Most chips will but some will not- Generally speaking they will not be noticeable from about a metre or so back from the panel, Larger chips tend to still show a little because of their size and some colours catch the light in unusual ways so it can be difficult to get a perfect result. Our operators are well trained and work hard to achieve he best possible result every time and our system provides an excellent repair at a very cost effective price.

It is important to remember that the only way to get an absolutely perfect finish is to pay the money for a complete re-spray at a high quality paintshop.

My car has metallic paint, can you still touch it up?

Yes definitely, we carry an excellent range of metallic paint tinters on board as well as Pearl colours so we can effectively match your vehicles colour and our operators are well trained in the art of ‘eye-matching’ colours which means that we can be a little flexible with our mixing to ensure that they get the best possible match rather than being restricted to just using formulas.

The only colours that we really ever have any problems with are the multi layer pearl colours such as ‘Harlequin’ but these are pretty rare and we seldom come across them.

If you cut and polish, will it look all 'swirly'

Our operators do a very high quality cut an polish and only use the best quality products to achieve excellent results, the unfortunate side effect of cut and polishing has always been a small amount of swirl or hologram effect on the paint, particularly on darker colours.

Thankfully now we can honestly say that after refining our techniques we are able to provide a genuine swirl free finish, it costs a little more if you want it done but it is well worthwhile for the incredible results that it produces. Click Here to find out more about our swirl free finish.

What are the best polishes to use?

We recommend the Meguiars range of car care products to help keep you car in tip-top condition; their range has every possible detailing product that you may need. Visit our online store to find a car care product to suit your requirements, there are some products in there that we have identified as particularly useful in the trade that are not normally available to the public but we think they are too good to keep secret.

How often should you polish your car? – Often, many polish manufacturers will say that you only need to polish about once every 12 months or so but we believe that polish is a bit like sunscreen for your car, and that more is better in the long run. The general rule of thumb is that you need to re-polish or re-wax when water doesn’t sheet cleanly from the surface any more or if the paintwork has lost its lusture.

Will overspray get everywhere?

No not at all, we use an airbrush for most of our touch-ups and these spray very small spots of paint without any overspray. If we need to do any micro repair on your bumpers etc… we use small specialty spray guns that use a HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spray technique to keep overspray to an absolute minimum.

Because of their clever technology the paint atomizes very well and will not drift further than a few centimeters. Our operators are all very careful to keep any drift to a minimum and always endeavor to take appropriate precautions, we also attempt to use the safest and most hazard free automotive coatings whenever possible to achieve quality workmanship and efficient results.
