It's the 'Spray and Wipe' Paint Repair Process that really makes the difference.

This ‘Final Touch' process is the backbone of the services we provide and it is what makes our system so unique and special and it has set the benchmark for the S.M.A.R.T Paint repair industry in New Zealand

The Final Touch Process

It's true... our unique Airbrush Spray and Wipe technique sets us apart from all other paint repairs.  Years of system development has resulted in the creation of a truly remarkable process that actually works like we say it does but surprisingly remains quite a simple process.  This is not a short term coloured polish based system or a system with a wipe off formula that is harmful to your vehicles factory finish. Indeed, with thousands and thousands of satisfied customers since 1993, the Final Touch system has proven the test of time.

The Process Works in 3 Basic Steps

Step 1:
Careful preparation ensures that the area requiring repair is free from contaminants to ensure that the repair can be completed to the highest standards.

Step 2:
Low pressure injection of appropriately colour-matched automotive paint directly into the damaged area ensures that the chip is filled from the bottom upwards and that all of the chip is filled to the point of overflowing. Appropriate thinning ensures minimal shrinkage of the paint during drying time but allows for some capillary action to occur during the filling process, this ensures a strong longlasting hold to the edges of the damaged area.

Step 3:
After an appropriate drying time, excess paint (the overflow) is gently removed using the Specialty Final Touch Formula, This formula is the secret ingredient that really sets our system apart form the competition, its properties allow upper layers of paint to be removed without stripping the paint from the chip itself, its gentle formulation also ensures that the colour-match stays true which is particularly important in lighter colours and metallic paints. It also has the added benefit of a polishing action that actually enhances the gloss and finish of the original paint finish.

If Final Touch operators were to work on your vehicle the 5 basic stages we would go through on your vehicle would be:

1) Polish             2) Spray Paint            3) Wipe Paint             4) Carefully Pencil fiddly bits          5) Present back to you, Beautiful

Genuine ‘Swirl Free’ Polishing has arrived

For years we have been working to develop and improve the standard of our Cut–and-Polishing. Our aim has always been to remove scratches and blemishes to restore paintwork to an original shine and luster rather than just coating in a high silicone wax to give a temporary shine as is very common.
